This Tuesday, Oxatis had the pleasure of participating in a seminar geared toward educating retailers about the ins and outs of running their business online.
And wow! What a view we had for this special event. It was held in the Pitch View room overlooking Wembley Stadium. Nothing could have been better to instill a bit of inspiration in the delegates, who were all ears and ready to learn more about lacing up their trainers and getting out on what some of them consider to be a scary new playing field.
The College of Northwest London, through the London Knowledge Transfer Project, sponsored this event. The college offers full and part-time courses designed around the specific needs of local businesses to help professionals develop and succeed. And we were there to help them do just that. Through their continued research, the college has found a growing need for education resources focused on E-Commerce and the Web, and organized this event as a first step in meeting that need.
After the seminar, where Oxatis talked about E-Commerce and persuading buyers to buy, we were all lucky enough to get a tour of the stadium...a real treat! Even if it was raining and about -12° outside (brrrr...), we got to sit in the Royal Box, test out the acoustics of the stadium in unison (hellooooooo..... Wembley, echo, echo, echo), and learn about what makes Wembley so unique.
What is that you might ask? Well, it's the first time I've ever seen a lawn getting an artificial sun bath (lucky lawn)! But the biggest thing that makes Wembley stand out...? It has over 2,500 toilets...more than any stadium in the world! So, for those football fans out there (or concert goers for that matter) who are a little weak in the bladder...have no fear! Come to Wembley, they've got everything you need :)
